Christmas time is here, well, on the way, sort of...

Ok, it's not quite December yet but I've just put up my Christmas tree. I know, it's a little early, but there's method in my madness. My fab nieces are coming down this weekend with my sister and I just wanted to have a Christmas tree up and doing its thing so we could do jolly Christmas type stuff. And it's just fun. I've promised to let the girls help me decorate the tree so I've been having to sit on my hands and not put on any decorations. Well, I say none but I did have to put just a few on... one or two... maybe about ten. It just looks great. I've reconciled myself to the fact that there is now only half as much living space in my lounge but hey, it's a reasonable sacrifice.

I was extremely efficient and got the tree delivered from an online company www.xmastreesales.co.uk What a find! Delivered to the door, an absolutely gorgeous tree, 6ft on the nail exactly as requested. Oh, and it's about 20ft wide... That could be a slight exaggeration but when I say I had planned to put it neatly down one side of the hall but it almost touched both sides of the hall, blocking the stairs, I had to have a quick rethink. I called in the cavalry (friends) who, very impressed at my even having a saw, helped me take a couple of branches off the bottom and get it in the stand. Sounds more complicated than it really was - I watched the whole operation very closely so I should know... The tree is now standing proudly in my lounge. I think the tv fringed with pine could be a look to catch on.

I haven't really gotten around to booking any gigs - oh, but I'm back at the Riverfront on 22nd Feb. More details soon.
